Skin cancer near the eye: always use flaps to avoid pressure in the closure.
Melolabial flap
Is ideal for that, but be careful how deep you cut. A melolabial flap is a reconstruction technique for the face after skin cancer removal, using a flap of skin from the “cheek-nose” crease (melolabial fold) to repair defects in areas like the nose, lip, or cheek. This is an effective method because the flap is from a nearby area, providing a good match for skin color and texture. It is often a single-stage procedure that can achieve satisfactory results, although sometimes a second stage is needed to complete the process.
